Coordinating a celebration
The Fair
This scene came with a number of complexities. Imagine; performers, art, special effects, fire and children all converging in one space. I worked with, 3D artist (Ben Gabelman) to pre-visualize the shot and coordinate.
Planning the Shot
All tents were modeled from real tents and placed intentionally to create a curved path for the kids and camera to travel safely. Next, we blocked the talent and various art effects in a 3D space. This kind of visual planning gave our department heads a clear picture of not just the intended creative but a supremely accurate plan of execution to coordinate with various people and departments.
